NIKSUN Enters the Caribbean & Latin America (CALA) Region

Published on: 08-21-2012

Princeton, NJ, July 02, 2012 — NIKSUN® Inc., the world leader in real-time and forensics-based cybersecurity and network monitoring solutions, announced today that it has entered the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) region and is hosting a customer and partner event in Puerto Rico on August 29 through August 31, 2012. The focus of this event is for the NIKSUN senior management team to describe the current status on cyberwarfare and cyber defense, share customer success stories, and offer certification level training to partners.

According to Forrester Research, Inc., Latin America is a fast-growing market.  “Fast growth in emerging markets like Asia Pacific and Latin America has partially offset a struggling Europe. Vendors will focus more on the potential of emerging markets in 2012.” (Global Tech Market Outlook For 2012 And 2013  by Andrew Bartels, January 06, 2012).

“NIKSUN has seen strong international growth for the past several years,” said Dr. Parag Pruthi, NIKSUN Founder, Chairman and CEO. “Entering the Caribbean and Latin America region is part of our strategy to continue that growth. After all, cyber warfare has no borders.”

NIKSUN products have been used since 1997 by US and other government agencies and large enterprises to not only monitor the performance of networks, but also to fight cyberattacks. NIKSUN’s security solutions continue to surpass the competition in accuracy, scalability, and mean-time to resolution for any security breach.

The CALA event in San Juan will be led by Dr. Parag Pruthi, a world wide recognized expert on cybersecurity along with other cybersecurity experts from NIKSUN. At the 5th NIKSUN WWSMC (World Wide Security & Mobility Conference) held July 9-11, 2012 in Princeton, NJ, Dr. Pruthi, opened the conference by highlighting recent high profile attacks that have cost industry and government billions of dollars. “The amount of money costing companies and governments from even a minor data breach is staggering,” said Dr. Parag Pruthi. “Every year billions of dollars are spent recovering from data breaches that could have been avoided with the proper security solutions and know-how.”  The WWSMC series are well-attended by both academia and industry security professionals.  A list of events can be found on NIKSUN’s website.

The CALA event will demonstrate the NIKSUN solution to this persistent threat through detailed, hands-on presentations.  NIKSUN now has a presence in the Caribbean and Central America, Mexico, and Brazil with plans to open several other sales offices in the region by year end.
